Jon Rent has been actively pursuing his passion for music for over thirteen years. In this time he has developed a very versatile style. Jon has a diverse performance background ranging from principal percussionist for the Pittsburgh Pheonix Youth Festival Orchestra to lead snare in his high school drum line to various local jazz and rock groups to president of the University of Pittsburgh’s African Drumming Ensemble. This wide range of experience is complimented by many years spent studying various styles of music and music theory both privately and at the University of Pittsburgh. Jon uses this knowledge and experience to provide a unique, solid foundation as the heartbeat of Omega Love.
